CEO's comments
“During the first half of the year, the Tellus Group continued to deliver very strong growth figures, with revenue increasing by around 40 percent compared to the same period last year. In the childcare segment, operations grew by 18 percent organically; in the school segment, by over 100 percent through acquisitions; and in the babysitting segment, by over 50 percent organically. Growth is occurring across the board and in various forms across all segments.”
Organic growth through our own new establishments has been one of the key drivers of our development. From 2019 to the present, we have opened eight preschools and one school, with a total of over 800 student spots. Although acquiring new schools and preschools has its advantages, our assessment is that opening our own facilities, over the next few years, is a smoother and more profitable path to expansion than acquisitions. However, this strategy has a negative impact on our profitability. Therefore, we have chosen a more selective approach to our new establishments, which reduces the pressure on our profitability.”
