Whistleblower Policy for Tellusgruppen AB and its Subsidiaries
Whistleblower Policy
Tellusgruppen AB strives to be an open and transparent company. We care deeply about our employees and customers, and work every day to create a workplace that provides a safe and secure environment for our employees, children, and students.
In cases where employees or other stakeholders discover misconduct within our operations, we offer a simple and secure way to report it through the Tellus Group’s whistleblower function. Here, the reporter can submit a report completely anonymously. By making it easy to report, we safeguard the trust that employees, children, students, guardians, and the general public place in us.
Whistleblowing is part of our internal improvement efforts and should be used when nothing else has worked.
Who should use the whistleblower service?
Under the Act (2021:890) on the Protection of Persons Reporting Misconduct, the following individuals may act as whistleblowers and are covered by the protection provided by the Act:
- current and former employees
- job seeker
- self-employed individuals and consultants
- volunteers
- interns
- persons who are members of the company’s administrative, management, or supervisory bodies
- shareholders who are active in the company
The Tellus Group is a publicly traded company and is subject to strict transparency requirements in its operations. That is why it is important for us to enable even groups that are not, by law, covered by the Whistleblower Act to report misconduct. These may include, for example, guardians or the general public. We have therefore chosen to make our whistleblower tool available on the Tellus Group, Tellusbarn, and Tellusskolan websites, so that anyone can access it.
What can you report as a whistleblower?
A whistleblower report details misconduct that has occurred within the Tellus Group’s operations. The report should focus on irregularities that violate the law or our internal policies. This may include a criminal offense, discrimination, or evidence that someone has attempted to conceal the truth.
Misconduct or irregularities in our workplaces include, for example, inappropriate behavior that is unacceptable and has a negative impact on work, the environment, or colleagues. This can range from minor infractions to serious violations of our policies or national laws.
It is important to distinguish between a whistleblowing case and a personal complaint. Whistleblowing involves a more serious and far-reaching matter of public interest, unlike personal complaints, which primarily concern the individual themselves. Therefore, the Whistleblower Policy does not replace the ability of guardians to file complaints or the ability of employees to report various forms of discriminatory treatment directly to the organization. Such issues are primarily handled through regular channels, such as a supervisor, HR, or senior management.
Examples of grounds for whistleblowing include violations of the Constitution or the Education Act, theft, sexual harassment, various forms of abuse of power, breaches of confidentiality, or falsified documentation.
How do I report this?
At Tellusgruppen, we use an internal whistleblowing system. Please fill out the form below, where you can choose to remain anonymous by omitting your contact information. If you would like us to contact you for feedback or to ask further questions about the matter, you will need to provide your contact information.
Please describe your issue in detail so that we can gather as much information as possible.
The Process
The process complies with the requirements of the Whistleblower Act:
- Please confirm receipt of the report within seven days
- The report is reviewed and investigated as necessary
- Feedback shall be provided to the rapporteur within three months, to the extent possible without jeopardizing the investigation
All information is treated confidentially.
If you have chosen to remain anonymous, you will, for obvious reasons, not be able to receive the feedback described above.
All reports are received and handled by our Whistleblower Committee, which consists of specially appointed and qualified members. The Whistleblower Committee is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and handling reports of suspected misconduct within the organization. The committee shall ensure that received cases are handled confidentially, objectively, and in accordance with applicable laws and internal guidelines. It is also responsible for protecting the whistleblower from retaliation and, when necessary, initiating investigations and proposing measures. Through its work, the committee contributes to increased transparency, compliance, and a safe work environment.
