Tellusgruppen AB operates its meal services through a separate company
Published: December 15, 2023
The new company, which will be named Tellusfood, prepares around 3,000 meals every day, which are distributed to more than thirty preschools and schools. The new company will be part of the Tellus Group’s ambition to expand its meal services to its own schools and preschools, as well as to offer meal services to other schools and preschools.
Tellusfoods operates six commercial kitchens and a restaurant that serves as the cafeteria for one of Tellus School’s middle schools and is also open to the public.
Meals in preschool and school are crucial to children’s health, well-being, and ability to learn. Nutritious meals provide the energy children need to play and learn. A pleasant mealtime environment also fosters a sense of community and a positive atmosphere in both school and preschool.
Tellusfood will thus become an independent company and a new segment within the Tellus Group. The Tellus Group is a long-term owner of well-managed companies in the education and childcare sectors. The Group currently operates 28 preschools and seven elementary schools, and also provides educational services and childcare through its subsidiaries Tellus School, Tellusbarn, Nanny by Tellus, Omniglot, and Språkservice 24.
