The Tellus Group continues its organic growth with new preschools and a new elementary school
Published: September 26, 2022
The Tellus Group’s first new elementary school, which held its opening ceremony on August 18, is now in full swing. Robinson Valsjön in Österåker began the fall semester with a preschool class and a first-grade class and will eventually offer classes from preschool through sixth grade. The school has an outdoor education focus and is already underway with hut-building, litter-picking days, and cooking on camp stoves.
“Our outdoor focus is particularly important to us at Tellusgruppen, both in elementary schools and preschools,” says the company’s CEO, Bijan Fahimi. “By spending time in nature, we foster an interest in and understanding of plants and animals in children from an early age. With this understanding and knowledge of our natural world, a respect for the environment also develops—a quality that is essential for children to become an integral part of Swedish society.”
In the preschool sector, Tellusbarn opened its third preschool in Österåker in August. The Svartgarn outdoor preschool is a popular preschool in Svinninge that, after just a few weeks, has filled two of its five classes.
This spring, the Tellus Group will expand its geographic reach to include another municipality when a newly built preschool opens in Haninge, in the new Vega residential area.
“This spring, we’re launching another one of our popular concepts at Vega,” says Bijan Fahimi, “namely a cultural preschool. The Vega Cultural Preschool will be a preschool filled with music, creativity, and drama.” At our cultural preschools, children can express their creativity in every conceivable way, for example with the help of our talented violin and drama teachers.
