The Tellus Group sees opportunities in a challenging childcare market

Published: October 2, 2024

In an interview, Tellus Group CEO Bijan Fahimi discusses the challenges and opportunities that arise when the number of children in certain areas declines. Despite these demographic changes, Tellus Group sees significant growth opportunities.

“We see an opportunity to gain market share as smaller players and inefficient municipalities struggle to adapt. This gives us the chance to strengthen our position,” says Fahimi.

The Tellus Group, which operates 28 preschools, has managed to increase its revenue by more than 17 percent over the past year. The company is now focusing on optimizing occupancy rates at its existing facilities and streamlining operations, including by bringing in-house previously outsourced services and reducing costs.

Going forward, the Tellus Group plans to acquire additional companies, primarily in the elementary school segment, in order to diversify and strengthen its market position.
