The Tellus Group appoints a new CEO for Språkservice 24
Published: April 20, 2023
“Gabriel Gjerss has played a key role in the development of the Tellus Group’s childcare business and has a proven ability to combine a high level of customer service with the ability to attract and manage dedicated babysitters,” says Bijan Fahimi, CEO of the Tellus Group. “Gabriel Gjerss also demonstrates a high level of financial efficiency and strong leadership skills.” Språkservice’s current owner and CEO, Nellie Warne, who has sold the company to the Tellus Group, will work with Gabriel for a period to ensure a smooth transition.
The Tellus Group announced the acquisition of Språkservice 24 on April 14. The company complements its sister company Omniglot, which has been part of the Tellus Group since last fall and offers similar services to both independent schools and municipalities. The companies will collaborate on issues related to talent acquisition, technical development, and other shared matters, but will retain their status as independent entities.
“The educational services business unit is becoming a rapidly growing area within the Tellus Group,” says Gabriel Gjerss. “There are exciting opportunities for innovation as digitalization, distance learning, and specialization gain momentum across the entire education sector, and I look forward to leading parts of this work within the Tellus Group.”
Gabriel Gjerss will take up his position in August.
